V26-250 : WINTER FLORA, HALL FARM, LONDON ROAD, WESTON PROPOSED REMOVAL OF

HEDGEROW,

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned a proposal submitted under the 1997 Hedgerow Regulations to remove the roadside hedge along the A145 in front of Winter Flora Ltd.

Officers had assessed the hedgerow as being important, and objections had been received from the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, the Ramblers Association and from two individuals from addresses in Southwold and Beccles.

To meet the 42 day deadline for a decision to be issued under the Regulations, it had been necessary for the Director to issue a Hedgerow Retention Notice, and the Committee was asked to confirm this action.

RESOLVED

That the action of the Director of Planning and Building Control, in consultation with the Chairman, in issuing a Hedgerow Retention Notice in respect of Winter Flora, Hall Farm, London Road, Weston, be confirmed.
