V26-242 : W5821/7 - AUNT SALLYS, 30 HIGH STREET, WRENTHAM, BECCLES
Application for retention of timber vegetable stands - renewal of consent W5821/6. The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that a few years ago the owner of the above village shop had replaced the traditional barrows with permanent structures attached to the building. These were unsightly, and in 1996 temporary consent was granted on the basis that the applicant would be able to make permanent arrangements. The above application was to renew the permission for a further period, however the Director recommended that unless the application was refused and enforced the applicant was unlikely to rush to find a suitable alternative. He recommended refusal. Members concurred with the Director's views but requested that enforcement action be delayed to give the applicant the opportunity to replace the temporary structures. RESOLVED
That planning permission be refused to application W5821/7, and that the Chief Executive be authorised to take all pursuant action to ensure compliance.
