Application for first floor extension.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the above property formed one of a cul-de-sac of chalet style dwellings characterised by steeply sloping roofs. Although the proposed extension created only one extra room at first floor level, a substantial extension to the roof would be required. The neighbour did not object, and the proposal would not have a great impact on him, however a precedent would be set, and the Director recommended refusal.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W17076.
