Application for use of site for touring caravans.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the above site included an established caravan site of 20 pitches, and that the application was to enlarge it to take 58 caravans. The Highway Authority had objected due to restricted visibility when leaving the site. The Director therefore recommended approval to the application, subject to the view from the access to the site being improved, although he noted the applicants may find this rather expensive due to the probable necessity to relocate a telegraph pole.

RESOLVED

That the Director of Planning and Building Control be given delegated authority to grant planning permission to an amended application W15708/1, subject to improved visibility from the access to the site.
