V26-211 : W15291/4 - RINGSFIELD HOUSE, REDISHAM ROAD, WESTON
Application for construction of new house and garage and rear extension and garage to existing dwelling.
The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that in 1991 permission for development of this site for a single house had been refused on grounds of inadequate size, absence of turning facilities and encroachment on neighbours' amenities. The present proposal was to build a replica attached dwelling in similar proportions to the existing house, with garages linking the two, and was extremely well designed to meet the points referred to above, but even so the plot was very restricted.
The application would also be likely to remove a row of golden conifers at the rear of the site which screened a neighbouring bungalow, and the Director recommended refusal. RESOLVED
That planning permission be refused to application W15291/4.
