Outline application for housing development.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that this application was for a residential development on an existing industrial site. The site had been derelict for some time, and was allocated for industrial use in the Local Plan.

Objections had been received with the view that a residential development would be unsuitable alongside industrial and shipping based uses. The Director concurred with this view, particularly as the proposal would constitute a significant departure from Local Plan policy, and recommended refusal.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W14752/5.
