V26-179 : ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES - SEMINAR

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services reminded members that in June 1996 the Environmental Services Division held an evening seminar to explain the range of services provided and to address any concerns raised. Those who attended found it worthwhile and suggested a repeat after two years.

With the advent of new Councillors following the recent elections, it was considered appropriate to plan a second seminar later in 1998. The Leader of the Council felt that such seminars were of great benefit and urged that as many members as possible should attend.

RESOLVED

That a further seminar on the work of the Environmental Services Division be held for all members of the Council, and attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
