V26-166 : STREET TRADING

LONDON ROAD NORTH AND HIGH STREET LOWESTOFT

The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services considered the designation of London Road North and High Street, Lowestoft as consent streets for the purposes of Street Trading, following complaints from the Lowestoft Town Centre Retail Group and a recent influx of applications in these streets.

RESOLVED

1. That a full review of Street Trading Consents be carried out and reported to a future meeting of the Committee, the review to include fees for consents, types of Street Trading to be permitted and designation of prohibited streets.

2. That London Road North and the High Street, Lowestoft continue to be designated consent streets, for the purposes of Street Trading, but that no new Street Trading Consents be issued until the review at resolution 1 above has taken place.
