BUSINESS SUPPORT POLICY STATEMENT

The report of the Chief Executive outlined the major issues raised in the final draft of the Local Government Association's (LGA) Business Support Policy Statement. The Policy Statement would form the basis for discussions between the LGA and other national partners. The LGA had asked its members to take account of the policy statement in their local operations.

RECOMMENDED

1. That the draft Local Government Association's Business Support Policy Statement be endorsed.

2. That the four main tasks set out for Local Authorities within this paper be examined in the context of the emerging Suffolk Development Agency.
