V26-1445 : SINGLE WORK FOCUSED GATEWAY

The report of the Director of Central Services provided an update of the Single Work Focused Gateway project, which the Council agreed in principle to participate in at minute V26-1070.

It was too early to assess the impact of the project when the precise form of the service to be provided was not known. Funding would be allocated on the basis of any additional costs incurred such as staff being selected to act as Implementation Managers. It was unlikely that any staff resource would be able to be volunteered for the projectt with the merger of Council Tax Benefit and Housing Benefit. However, there would need to be involvement with the project to ensure the Council had an input into the whole process.

RESOLVED

That the progress report on the Single Work Focused Gateway be received.
