V26-1425 : W17229 - PUBLIC CONVENIENCES, TOWN PARK, HALESWORTH
Application for extension to form baby changing room.
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined the above proposal to erect an extension, measuring 2 metre by 2.5 metre, on the side of the existing public conveniences, to incorporate baby changing facilities. The scheme also included a new ramped concrete path and a new section of retaining wall, and the design complimented the existing building, whilst providing a very useful facility in this location. However, there was a problem in matching the existing roof tiles, which were no longer made. The Director felt that an entire new roof would be more acceptable than a mix and match of old and new, subject to this he recommended approval.
RESOLVED
That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976 planning permission be granted to application W17229, subject to re- roofing of the entire structure if no matching tiles can be located.
