Application for the erection of a classroom building.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned the above application to erect a mobile classroom measuring 11 metres by 3.8 metres and 2.8 metres high adjacent to the existing storage containers and office building on the above site. This part of the site backed onto the rear gardens of Monckton Avenue, but there was a footpath between the gardens and the site which was well screened with a mature hedge, and the houses were 30 metres away.

There would be no windows in the classroom adjacent to the boundary, and the Director felt the building would have little impact on these neighbouring properties. He recommended approval for ten years.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976 planning permission be granted to application W2991/4, temporary for ten years.
