V26-1353 : LATE NIGHT REFRESHMENT HOUSES ACT 1969 (AS AMENDED)

The report of the Chief Executive sought approval for the Chief Executive to have delegated authority to act immediately on the issue, renewal, transfer and refusal of licences under the above Act.

In addition, the Panel was asked to delegate to the Chief Executive authority to prosecute as and when it was felt necessary any breaches of the said Act. As with other licences, the Panel would be kept informed of the different stages of a particular prosecution.

RESOLVED

1. That the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to issue, renew, transfer and refuse licences under the Late Night Refreshment Houses Act 1969 (as amended).

2. That the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chairman, be given delegated authority to prosecute any breaches of the said Act.
