V26-1340 : ST. PETERS COURT, LOWESTOFT - DOOR ENTRY SYSTEM
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services informed members that in recent weeks the door entry system servicing all 90 flats in St. Peters Court had become faulty to such an extent that it was the view of the contractor that it was practically irreparable.
A quotation of £10,165 (excluding VAT) had been received for the renewing of the door entry system from company, Management Security Services (Anglia) Ltd., the local company currently used to attend various sites where the Department had such systems. Under standing orders three written requests were required to tender for the work. However, due to the need to have one local presence to attend door entry system call-outs, members were requested to agree to the use of Standing Order 6.2(c) to allow the contract for the work to be awarded to Management Security Services (Anglia) Ltd. RESOLVED
That Standing Order 6.2(c) be invoked to allow the contract for the work replacing the door entry system at St. Peters Court, Lowestoft, to be awarded to Management Security Services (Anglia) Ltd., at a cost of £10,165 plus VAT.
*Commitment of Forward Budget.
