V26-1335 : HOUSING STOCK CONDITION SURVEY
The report of the Director of Housing and Environmental Services reminded members that at minute V26-1148 it was resolved to carry out a stock condition survey of all Council housing from April 1999. The resolution included the appointment of three Building Surveyors on a one year fixed term contract to carry out the survey work in year one. It was proposed to employ Surveyors on the same grade, Scale 5/SO, as existing Surveyors responsible for programmed maintenance. The mid point of the grade including oncosts was £21,481 per annum.
It was also recommended to establish a budget provision of £20k for consultants' fees in respect of specialist reports on structural defects identified as the survey progressed. RESOLVED
That budget provision of £85k be made within the Housing Revenue Account 1999/2000 to finance year one of the Housing Stock Condition Survey.
