V26-1319 : CCTV EXPANSION STRATEGY

The report of the Director of Community Services identified those areas where extension of the present CCTV system was considered to be appropriate, and gave details of associated costs.

RESOLVED

1. That the CCTV expansion strategy detailed in the report of the Director of Community Services be accepted for consideration within the Other Services Capital Programmes for 1999/2000, 2000/2001 and 2001/2002.

2. That the installation of three cameras and the re-positioning of one within the High Street and Triangle Market areas be approved as the first phase for 1999/2000.

3. That a report be brought to this Committee detailing the needs and costs for the extension of the system to the market towns of Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Southwold.

4. That further reports be brought to this Committee concerning possible funding for future years and detailing any need for additional staff.
