V26-1215 : W5346/4 - HAULAGE YARD, PARADISE ROW, RINGSFIELD
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that a haulage yard had been operated for many years from a site in Paradise Row, a private unmade lane leading off Cromwell Road, Ringsfield. A retrospective planning permission was granted in 1998, personal to the operator, and subject to the number of heavy goods vehicles being limited to four.
A recent inspection, following notification from the HGV Licensing Authority, revealed that six heavy lorries were based at the site. Despite repeated requests, the operator had declined to either reduce the number of HGVs or to apply to vary the terms of his planning permission. The increased scale of the use of the haulage yard was considered inappropriate for this poorly accessed rural site.
RESOLVED
That the Chief Executive be authorised to issue a Breach of Condition Notice and to take all pursuant action in relation to a breach of planning conditions at the haulage yard, Paradise Row, Ringsfield.
