Application for erection of a 3.5m high sculpture of a lifeboatman.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined a proposal to erect a 3.5m high sculpture of a lifeboatman on a grassed area in Belle Vue Park, adjacent to the war memorial. The final finish of the sculpture would be bronze powder, and it was anticipated the sculpture would be erected in time for the millennium. The Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976 planning permission be granted to application W15641/1.
