Application for single storey extension.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control explained that the above large side extension to a detached modern bungalow was proposed for the benefit of two disabled persons. The design was acceptable, although large and sited on the front corner of the property, itself located on a prominent corner. The extension would be forward of the building line set of other adjacent properties, although there was a similar, but smaller extension further down the road. The revised recommendation of the Director was, on balance, for approval.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W17194, subject to a hipped roof on the front gable.
