V26-1175 : W8157/13 - LAND TO REAR OF SPREAD EAGLE HOTEL, HIGH STREET, WRENTHAM
Application for erection of three dwellings and garages and conversion of barn to garage. The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined a proposal to erect three dwellings on the above site. Application W8157/7 had been previously approved for two dwellings, and W8157/12 approved for conversion of the barn for garaging. A current planning approval existed on the site as a whole for seven dwellings, including conversion of the hotel and the land immediately behind it.
The Environment Agency had objected to the application as 54 properties were flooded in Wrentham in 1993, and they were concerned that the application site would flood because of its location in the flood plain. The revised recommendation of the Director was for a site meeting to discuss the issue with the Environment Agency.
RESOLVED
That a site visit be held at the location of application W8157/13, and attendance be authorised as an approved duty.
