Application for change of use to builders yard.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control outlined the above proposal for a change of use of the former Eastern Electricity depot to a builders yard and store. The proposal was considered acceptable, but only on the basis of an acceptable plan to show a feasible access and parking layout for the adjacent office building, which would otherwise be landlocked. Such a plan had been received and was satisfactory. In view of the site's proximity to Sands Lane, the Director also felt that hours of working should be restricted, and recommended approval subject to appropriate conditions.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W1373/10, subject to a restriction of working hours to 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm on Saturday, and no working on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
