V26-1150 : HOUSING CAPITAL GUIDELINES 1999/2000

The report of the Director of Central Services informed members that details of the capital guidelines for 1999/2000 were reported to the Policy and Resources Committee on 7 January 1999. The relevant figures for the Housing Investment Programme (HIP) were tabled.

The Private Sector Renewal Grant work would be cash limited at £340k, and for Disabled Facilities Grant work supplementary credit approval cover limited to £222k but government grant would be available for all eligible expenditure.

This was felt to be a good outcome for the Authority, reflecting the views of the Government Office for the Eastern Region on past performance. The available resources should allow the draft programme for 1999/2000 to be carried out in full. This would be the subject of a further more detailed report.

RESOLVED

That the report on Housing Capital Resources be received and a further report be prepared on their use for the Housing Investment Programme 1999/2000.
