V26-1146 : SUFFOLK HEALTH AUTHORITY - ANNUAL REPORT AND HEALTH IMPROVEMENT

PROGRAMME

Dr. Brian Keeble, Director of Health Care and Public Health for Suffolk Health Authority (SHA) attended the meeting to give a talk on SHA's Annual Report and after wide liaison, their forthcoming publication of a Health Improvement Programme (HImP). A brief question and answer session followed on each subject.

The Chief Executive thanked Dr. Keeble for his attendance. Liaison on the HImP document had been a catalyst for further dialogue. The Suffolk Chief Executive's Group had subsequently met and been working with the Chief Executives of SHA and Suffolk TEC and Suffolk Constabulary's equivalent officer on wider issues. He was encouraged that this perception of a wider role in the base of local services was progressing to the benefit of all.
