V26-1145 : PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCES - CONDITIONS

The above item was considered as a matter of urgency, under the statutory provision accorded to the Chairman, as a revision of the above had been agreed in principle by the Licensing Panel on 22 December 1998, and following consultation with licence holders the conditions now required adoption by this Committee.

At the aforementioned meeting of the Licensing Panel revised terms and conditions for the governing of Public Entertainment Licences were considered, following an extensive review. Most conditions had not changed but had been re-worded to make them clearer. New conditions related to Door Supervisors and attendants and the appointment of persons to act in the absence of the Licensee.

Following consultation five observations had been received and were reported verbally at the meeting.

RESOLVED

That the revised terms and conditions for Public Entertainment Licences as submitted to the Licensing Panel on 22 December 1998 and following consultation procedures with the licence holders be adopted and be attached to all new and renewed Licences for 1999.
