V26-1141 : PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE NO. 76

LIVINGSTONES, WHITES LANE, KESSINGLAND

The report of the Chief Executive reminded members that at minute V26-388 a Public Entertainment Licence for the above premises was issued for the hours of Saturdays 7pm - 12 midnight. The Licence was granted for a trial period up to 1 December 1998 as the Director of Housing and Environmental Services had been investigating noise complaints from the premises.

The Licensee had applied to vary the current Licence to include Fridays 7pm - Midnight and New Years Eve from 7pm - 1am. The Police and the Director of Housing and Environmental Services had no objections, but it was requested that the Licence be issued for a trial period of six months to allow further monitoring to take place. The Kessingland Parish Council had no objection.

RESOLVED

1. That the Public Entertainment Licence for Livingstones, Whites Lane, Kessingland, be renewed to the hours of Fridays/Saturdays 7pm - Midnight and New Years Eve 7pm - 1am until 31 January 1999 to bring it into line with the expiry of all other Licences.

2. That the Licence be renewed thereafter for a period of five months expiring on 30 June 1999 to allow further monitoring to take place.

3. That after this period the Chief Executive be given delegated authority to renew the Licence to expire on 31 January 2000 provided no further objections are received from the Police, Director of Housing and Environmental Services or Kessingland Parish Council.
