V26-113 : BEACH LIFEGUARD ROADSHOW
The report of the Director of Community Services provided details of a partnership that had been formed with HM Coastguard to promote beach safety. A Roadshow had been taken around local schools within the Waveney area during May. No charge was made, although schools were encouraged to make a contribution towards the costs.
It was anticipated that around £400 sponsorhip would be raised from local businesses this season for beach safety initiatives, and the cost of the Roadshow would easily be met from this source.
RESOLVED
That the action of the Director of Community Services, in consultation with the Chairman, in forming a partnership to promote beach safety, be confirmed.
