V26-1120 : BOULEVARD CENTRE, OULTON BROAD

The report of the Director of Community Services advised that the current lessee of the Boulevard Leisure Centre, Oulton Broad, was to sell the lease of the property to Mr and Mrs M Price, who were the new tenants. The current lease restricted the Justices' licence to a restaurant licence, mainly because the original lessees wished only to operate in this way.

The current arrangements catered adequately for customers who wished to eat in the restaurant but there was little opportunity for the lessees to serve the local community. Permission was therefore sought to lift the restriction within the lease to allow application to be made for a full on-licence.

RESOLVED

That permission be given to the lessee of the Boulevard Centre, Oulton Broad to make application for a full on-licence in the bar area of the premises and in the restaurant, and that the lease be amended accordingly.
