V26-110 : BASKETBALL DEVELOPMENT
The report of the Director of Community Services outlined a request from the English Basketball Association (EBBA) for a grant of £500 towards the funding of a Suffolk Basketball Development Officer.
Financial contributions were being sought from all the Suffolk Local Authorities and the Rural Development Commission. However, that funding would only be forthcoming if the three Rural Development Area local authorities, Suffolk Coastal, Mid Suffolk and Waveney, made a contribution. The other two authorities had made this commitment. RESOLVED
That a grant of £500 be made to the English Basketball Association as a contribution towards the post of Suffolk Basketball Development Officer, to be met from the Leisure Revenue Grants budget.
