V26-1069 : COMMUNITY SAFETY UNIT RESEARCHER

The report of the Chief Executive advised members that the Suffolk County Community Safety Partnership had agreed in principle to extend the contract of the Researcher at the Community Safety Unit based at Martlesham Heath. The Researcher was instrumental in helping to provide the necessary crime and disorder information to enable the Crime and Disorder Audit and Strategies to be completed within the statutory timescale.

It was proposed that the contract be extended for a further period of 12 months at a cost of approximately £10,000, and that the cost be shared between all local partnerships. Waveney's contribution would be £1,430.

RESOLVED

That a commitment of £1,430 be made towards the cost of employing the Researcher at the Suffolk Community Safety Unit.
