V26-1030 : TREE PRESERVATION ORDER NO. 260 - 350 LONDON ROAD SOUTH, LOWESTOFT
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control advised that, in pursuance of powers delegated to him under minute V3-304/2, he authorised service of provisional Tree Preservation Order to protect five lime trees set close to the boundary wall of 350 London Road South on a prominent corner with Rectory Road. The property was situated within the South Lowestoft Conservation Area. Notice of making the Order had been served on the owners of the property who had raised objections.
It was the opinion of officers, however, that the trees in question made a significant contribution to both the street scene and the South Lowestoft Conservation Area. As such the Council would be justified in establishing a provisional Tree Preservation Order. RESOLVED
That the Waveney District Council (Land at 350 London Road South, Lowestoft) Tree Preservation Order (No. 260) be confirmed.
The meeting was concluded at 8.55 pm.
