V26-1028 : 19 EARSHAM STREET, BUNGAY
UNAUTHORISED FASCIA AND PROJECTING HANGING SIGN
The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned two signs, a plastic fascia sign and projecting hanging sign, which had been erected relatively recently at the above site. The property was a Grade II Listed Building, and as such Listed Building Consent should have been sought before the signs were erected.
Contact had been made with occupants of the above office advising them of the situation and requesting that the signs be removed or an application for their retention be submitted. Despite verbal and written assurances from a member of staff at William H Brown's office, Norwich, that the matter would be dealt with, no application had been submitted nor had the signs been removed.
RESOLVED
That the Chief Executive be authorised to serve a Listed Building Enforcement Notice and to take all pursuant action to secure the removal of the unauthorised fascia and projecting hanging sign at 19 Earsham Street, Bungay.
