Application for reinstatement and improvements to gardens.

The report of the Director of Planning and Building Control concerned an application from the Director of Community Services to reinstate a formal garden area at Wellington Gardens on The Esplanade. This area of land was currently grassed over.

The proposal was to create two sunken garden areas and other ornamental gardens as a major upgrade for this prominent area of public open space. The Director recommended approval.

RESOLVED

That for the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1976 planning permission be granted to application W15176/1.
