V26-101 : BRITTEN CENTRE MARKET

The report of the Director of Central Services gave an update on the Britten Centre Market, since the Council took over its management last July. It proposed some minor improvements, and an increase in Market rents which had not been increased for four years.

RESOLVED

1. That replacement covers and anchor points be provided for the Britten Centre Market, to be met from the rate refund due as a result of the reduction in rateable value.

2. That with effect from 1 June 1998 the Market rent for the Britten Centre be increased to:

Four Days £16.25 a day
Three Days £16.50 a day
Two Days £17.50 a day
One Day £18.50 a day
Casual Rate £22.00 a day
