V25-997 : 61 HAWTHORNE AVENUE, LOWESTOFT - UNTIDY GARDEN LAND

Complaints had been received concerning the current state of the front and side garden of 61 Hawthorn Avenue, Lowestoft. The front garden was overgrown and untidy with a substantial amount of items stored to the side of the property. The rear garden was also strewn with debris, although this was only visible to immediate neighbours.

The owner had been contacted with regard to this matter and, although promising to clear the garden, had failed to undertake the required action. It was therefore considered that a Section 215 notice should be served on the owner to ensure that immediate action was taken.

RESOLVED

That the Chief Executive be authorised to serve an Untidy Land Notice under Section 215 of the Town and Country Panning Act 1991 requiring the owner of 61 Hawthorn Avenue, Lowestoft, to clear and tidy the state of the property, and to take all necessary action to secure compliance.
