Application for change of use from residential to home care agency.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that a previous application for this use in London Road had been refused. In support of this proposal the applicants had advised that the majority of their business was transacted by telephone. The Director recommended approval, subject to the hours of use being limited to 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.

The Town Council objected to the loss of housing stock in a pleasant row of dwellings, and the introduction of this use into a residential area.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W12181/1, subject to the hours 9am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
