Application for construction of single storey annex, porch and double garage. The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for approval, as the extension was to the eastern end of the site and would not have a significant effect on the open, spacious character of the area, as set out in Policy H9. However, he advised that it was important to consider the proposal in the context of this policy as it could be sub-divided into a separate dwelling at a later date. There had been objections from two neighbours as to the potential commercial use of the replacement garage, and the creation of an access onto an unmade road. The Sub-Committee were minded to approve the application provided that a condition could be imposed connecting the use with the existing dwelling house and not a separate house. RESOLVED
That planning permission be granted to application W4760/3, subject to use being connected to existing dwelling house.
