Application for dog boarding kennels.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that this proposal was deferred at the last meeting to await the comments of the Trunk Road Authority. This had now been received and there was no concern with the road junction.

The Director considered that the access requirements could be achieved by moving the entrance, and on balance he recommended approval, subject to the vegetation being trimmed back 250 metres to the north and south of the road junction.

The neighbours opposite the site had objected on the grounds of noise nuisance, but members felt this was unjustified as they lived next to a trunk road. Wangford Parish Council recommended refusal, and Frostenden, Uggeshall and South Cove Parish Council objected to the proposal.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W14277/7, subject to amended access and vegetation cutback on the road junction.
