Application for single storey extension and addition of two dormers.

The Director of Planning and Building Control considered the principle of the proposal to be acceptable. However, he felt the two blind dormers on the rear were contrived and of an unsympathetic design. The Director favoured a single gable, but the applicants were not prepared to consider this. On balance he recommended refusal.

The Parish Council observation was for approval, subject to no new windows overlooking the rear neighbour. The neighbours had no objections if there were no windows in the dormers.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W15291/2.
