V25-9 : ADJOURNMENT

On a motion from the Chair, it was

RESOLVED

That this meeting of the Council do adjourn until the conclusion of the meeting of the four Programme Committees.

MINUTES OF PROGRAMME COMMITTEES

During the adjournment the Chairman of the Council presided over each Committee meeting and voting was by card.

PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE

RESOLVED

1. That Councillor H. H. Ley be elected Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.

2. That the election of a Vice-Chairman be deferred to the next meeting of the Committee.

3. That the following members be elected to the Lowestoft Planning Sub-Committee:

Councillors Ayers, Blizzard, Blowers, Bostock, Carter R, Carter T, Cherry, Chipperfield, Devereux, Ford, Francis, Gouldby, Gower, Hart, Hinton, Hunter, Jones, Keable, Kelly, Leverett, Ley, Robertson, Rodgers, Rouse, Spoor, Stewart, Thorne, Turrell, van Pelt and Walpole.

4. That the following members be elected to the Rural Planning Sub-Committee:

Councillors Baker, Breach, Crisp, Goldsmith, Holzer, Jenkins, Jermy, Kemp, Lewars, Ley, McGee, Parr, Punter, Rose, Satchell, Taylor, Whatling, Whatrup and Whitlow.

5. That the following members be elected to the Taxi Licensing Panel:

Councillors Hunter, Keable, Lewars, Ley and Taylor.
6. That the meeting do stand adjourned until Tuesday 13 May 1997.

DIRECT SERVICES COMMITTEE

RESOLVED

1. That Councillor D. J. Gower be elected Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.

2. That the election of Vice-Chairman be deferred to the next meeting of the Committee.

3. That the meeting do stand adjourned until Tuesday 20 May 1997.

HOUSING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES COMMITTEE

RESOLVED

1. That Councillor R. E. Carter be elected Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.

2. That Councillor K. R. Jenkins be elected Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.

3. That the following members be elected to the Housing Sub-Committee:

Councillors Carter R, Crisp, Jenkins, Jones, Punter, Rodgers, Rouse, Spoor, Thorne and Whatling.

5. That the meeting do stand adjourned until Thursday 22 May 1997.

COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE

RESOLVED

1. That Councillor T. Kelly be elected Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.

2. That Councillor P. Whatling be elected Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year.

3. That the meeting do stand adjourned until Thursday 15 May 1997.
