V25-884 : STREET TRADING CONSENT - MR. C. IREDALE

The Director of Housing and Environmental Services reported receipt of an application for a street trading consent by Mr. C. Iredale to allow him to sell ice creams from a tricycle type stall in the Southwold area. Due to the interest of Southwold Town Council in this issue this matter had been referred to the Housing and Environmental Services Committee to consider.

The usual consultations with interested parties had taken place and no adverse comments had been received except from Southwold Town Council, who had requested that Mr. Iredale's application be refused, although it did not give reasons for this.

The Chief Executive confirmed that it would be possible to exclude trading from the cliff top path from this consent, as there was not physically room for two tricycles to pass in this area.

RESOLVED

That Mr. C. Iredale be granted street trading consent to sell ice creams from a tricycle type stall in the Southwold area, with the exception of the cliff top path.
