V25-868 : EASTERN REGION TENANT AND LANDLORD PARTNERSHIP

The Sub-Committee was reminded that at minute V25/433 support was given to the above Partnership, and it was resolved that the Council should join as a landlord organisation. The Senior Housing Officer, John Bunyard was invited to be a member of the steering group, to represent the Council, and had attended a meeting.

The steering group had decided to create a company, limited by guarantee, without charitable status, on the basis that this would be the most appropriate vehicle to manage its business. Accordingly, the steering group had elected five Executive Directors, including John Bunyard, who would represent local authority landlords on the board. It was anticipated that the board would meet, during normal business hours, every four to six weeks.

RESOLVED

That approval be given for John Bunyard, Senior Housing Officer, to be an Executive Director on the board of the Eastern Region Tenant and Landlord Partnership.
