NOMINATION OF DIRECTOR

At its reconvened Annual General Meeting on 11 September 1997 the East of England Tourist Board (EETB) resolved to alter the membership of its Board of Directors to include one local authority representative from each geographical county within the region.

The local authority representative for Suffolk would be determined by the Suffolk Local Government Association at its meeting in November. The Association had invited nominations from each of the Suffolk district authorities. The Association would also determine the length of appointment, recommended by the EETB as a minimum of two years.

RESOLVED

That Councillor Kelly be submitted as the Council's nomination to the Suffolk Local Government Association to serve on the Board of Directors of the East of England Tourist Board, and that if appointed, attendance be authorised as an approved duty.

The Meeting was concluded at 8.20pm
