V25-846 : COUNTYWIDE WALKWISE PROJECT

The Committee considered the report of the Director of Planning and Building Control which outlined proposals for the Walkwise Project, a countywide initiative to encourage walking in Suffolk.

The initiative aimed to develop themed walks throughout Suffolk with incentives to encourage their use. A request had been made for £250, towards funding a project worker to research the viability of the initiative, in the hope of the idea going forward to a Lottery bid. RESOLVED
That the Walkwise project be supported and that a contribution of £250 be made towards funding a Short Term Project Worker, to be met from from the Local Plans Implementation Budget.
