V25-819 : UNAUTHORISED SHED - 2 POUND ROAD, BECCLES
The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that a small shed had been erected in the front garden of 2 Pound Road, Beccles. The property was on the corner of Pound Road and Ravensmere and had no rear garden. The shed was of timber construction and a light colour and was therefore very conspicuous in the street scene. Planning permission was required for the retention of the shed as it fronted a dwelling. The occupier of the property was unwilling to submit an application as the shed had replaced a much older structure which was of a similar size but in very poor condition. The Director felt that the shed would be much less conspicuous if it were stained in dark colour. The Sub-Committee considered that there was no justification for a shed of this size when the property had no garden, and sought its removal. RESOLVED
That the Chief Executive be authorised to instigate enforcement action and to take pursuant action to ensure the removal of the unauthorised shed at 2 Pound Road, Beccles. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
