Application for extensions and alterations.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that there were three parts to this application. The porch and rear access, incorporating 2.1m high gates, were broadly acceptable. However, the large free-standing music room in the garden had given rise to local concern. The Director of Housing and Environmental Services had advised that sound insulation would be practicable, and the recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was therefore for approval subject to details of sound insulation and restriction of hours of use.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W16890, subject to sound insulation to the proposed music room and restriction of hours of use from 10am - 9pm.
