V25-795 : LOWESTOFT IN BLOOM

Before the formal proceedings of the Council, Councillor Gower on behalf of Frank Nolan, the Chairman of the Lowestoft in Bloom Committee, presented to the Chairman of the Council a silver salver which had been presented to the Lowestoft in Bloom Committee in recognition of Lowestoft winning the category of "Best New Entry" in the Anglia in Bloom competition. In presenting the silver salver to the Chairman, Councillor Gower paid tribute to all the officers and members involved in Lowestoft's entry into the competition and particularly recognised the work that Martyn Burnside had contributed to the entry. He concluded by thanking David Spoor for the photographs of the flower displays which were contained in the entry.

The Chairman, in thanking Councillor Gower for the silver salver, commented on how well Lowestoft looked this summer, and took pride in the fact that not only did Lowestoft win " Best New Entry" but Bungay had also done well coming second in their category in the same competition.
