V25-764 : CONFEDERATION OF BRITISH INDUSTRY EXHIBITION

The report of the Chief Executive outlined a request for the Council to participate in a joint stand at the Confederation of British Industry's national conference in Birmingham promoting Norfolk and Waveney as an Inward Investment location.

The involvement of Waveney was considered important as a clear message of commitment from the Council to the Norfolk and Waveney Economic Development Strategy in working towards promoting the sub-region.

RECOMMENDED

That the Council participation in the Norfolk and Waveney stand at the Confederation of British Industry exhibition on 9 - 11 November 1997, with the cost of approximately £800 to be met from within the Economic Development Promotions and Initiative Fund.
