V25-750 : DISCRETIONARY RATE RELIEF -

The Director of Central Services reported receipt of an application from the Beccles Rifle and Social Club for discretionary rate relief, which fell outside the policy guidelines laid down at minute V23-505/6. The draft accounts showed a small surplus of income over expenditure.

Under normal policy if 50% Discretionary Relief were to be granted for 1997/98 then the cost to the general fund would be £23. Sports Clubs and Centres which supported Council provision received 50% Discretionary Relief.

RECOMMENDED

That the Beccles Rifle and Social Club be granted 50% Discretionary Rate Relief for 1997/98.
