V25-711 : HOUSING REVENUE ACCOUNT - OUT-TURN 1996/7

The Committee considered the report of the Director of Central Services which provided details of the out-turn on the Housing Revenue Account in 1996/97 in comparison with the approved budget.

An underspend of £1,106,000 was shown of which £700,000 had been set aside for future repairs costs and £176,000 would be required for the Housing Investment Programme in 1997/98.

RESOLVED

1. That approval be given to setting up a Housing Repairs Fund at 31 March 1997 and to the transfer to that fund of £700,000, being the underspend on the repairs and maintenance budget in 1996/97.

2. That the report be received and approval given to carrying forward a budget of £176,000 for the direct revenue financing of the Housing Investment Programme in 1997/98.
