V25-706 : HOUSING QUALITY NETWORK
The Director of Housing and Environmental Services informed members of the Government's plans to introduce "best value" to local authorities to encourage a continual improvement in standards across all the Council's services. In the housing field various authorities across the country had formed a Housing Quality Network, in association with a training agency, to consider the proposals in relation to housing. All authorities were being asked to join the Network and it was officers' view that the network should give access to information and training that would assist this Council in achieving the requirements of best value and bring improvements to the way the service was delivered. RESOLVED
That the Council join the Housing Quality Network at a cost of £950 for 1997/98, to be met from existing budgets.
